Hi, I’m Laura
Before I get into the nitty gritty like my experience or why you should hire me, let me introduce myself a little.
I’m a hyper, down-to-earth, multi-entrepreneur who has a Coke Zero addiction and LOVES true crime. Also a hot take? The ending of “How I Met Your Mother” was perfect and I’ll forever stand by that.
I also reside in a quiet, country town known as Val-des-Monts with my boyfriend, our adorable Scottish Straight cat and our hyperactive Lab/German Shepard pup.

Business & Sustainability Advocate
I first began my career as an eCommerce copywriter 8 years ago, writing site copy and social media captions for small businesses. Working with many store owners on Shopify, I quickly fell into the world of design & development and never looked back.
Today, I help small to mid-sized businesses scale their stores the only way I know how–by crafting a unique story for their brand.
After years of experience scaling online Shopify stores, I decided to co-found The Kind Pet, a natural pet store and resource dedicated to reducing our pets' and own impact on the planet.
As an animal lover and sustainability advocate, I believe it's time to lead the pathway towards more sustainable consumer goods (like those in the pet industry!) along with closed-loop manufacturing.

While I typically work with a team of contractors that help me with multiple projects, every project is managed by me.
That means you'll always be dealing with the same person. No handoffs and certainly no overly complicated processes.
